We are seeking to hire a post-doc, based at the University of Cape Town to work with myself, Jean-Paul van Belle at UCT, and Jamie Woodcock/Mark Graham at Oxford Internet Institute.
The research will evaluate digital work platforms in South Africa (Uber, SweepSouth, Upwork, etc.) against decent work standards.
The post-doc will be part of a collaborative and multi-disciplinary team of world-leading academics, undertaking ESRC-funded research on a topic that is central to the future of work and to the harnessing of digital technologies for socio-economic development.
