Hi,
The call for participation and an initial version of the guidelines
are now available from the main TRECVID web
page (http://trecvid.nist.gov [http://trecvid.nist.gov/]).
Here are the steps to follow:
TREC Video Retrieval Evaluation Home Page [http://trecvid.nist.gov/]
The TREC conference series is sponsored by the National Institute of
Standards and Technology with additional support from other U.S.
government agencies.
1) read the Call and then study the relevant parts of the Guidelines
to see if you want to participate and believe you can really
complete one or more of the TRECVID 2016 tasks on the schedule
in the guidelines.
2) if you decide to participate, follow the directions in the Call for
applying as soon as possible, before 23. February.
3) once you have applied, you will receive an immediate confirmation and
near the end of February you will receive information about how
to get the development and test data and use the TRECVID 2016
email list (tv16.list). During February and March there will be time
for discussion of the draft guidelines on the tv16.list. The Guidelines
should be final by 1. April.
We look forward to your participation.
Best regards,
