潘炎，副教授，2007年毕业于中山大学计算机系，获工学博士学位（导师：汤庸教授）。2012年作为Visiting Research Fellow在新加坡国立大学计算机科学系进行访问研究（合作导师：Prof. Shuicheng Yan）。

近年主要从事机器学习、信息检索方面的研究。在AAAI, CVPR, ECCV,SIGIR,SECON等顶级国际会议，以及IEEE TC, TNNLS, TIP等知名国际期刊上发表论文多篇。作为主要参加者获得国际权威评测PASCAL VOC 2012 Challenge的物体分类比赛的冠军。

Dr. Yan Pan is an associate professor in School of Software, Sun Yat-Sen University. He received the Ph.D. degree in Computer Software and Theory from Sun Yat-sen University, under the supervision of Prof. Yong Tang. He was a visiting research fellow at Learning and Vision Research Group at the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering, National University of Singapore, directed by Prof.Shuicheng Yan.
