刘兴国，男，博士，研究员，博士生导师，国家自然科学基金优秀青年获得者，中科院""百人计划""获得者，广东省自然科学杰出青年基金获得者，广东省特支计划中青年科技领军人才，2016年干细胞青年研究员奖和国际生物物理学会""2011 Young Bioenergeticist Award""获得者（每年只有一人获此奖项），国际学术杂志Frontiers in Genetics of Aging、Int J Stem Cell Res Transp、Biophysics编委，Plos One、FEBS Letters、Cell Regeneration、Bioresource Technol、Biotechnol Bioeng审稿人。2007年1月获得清华大学博士学位，2007-2010年在美国Thomas Jefferson University做博士后研究，2010年至今在中国科学院广州生物医药与健康研究院担任研究员、博导。以第一或通讯作者身份在Cell Metabolism、Hepatology、EMBO J、Cell Death & Diff、Mol Cell等国际杂志上发表22篇论文，申请专利9项（其中1项PCT）。承担973项目、国家自然科学基金、中国科学院战略性先导科技专项等10项国家和地方的基金支持，9次在国际学术会议上做大会特邀报告，任第9届亚洲线粒体研究与医学国际研讨会组委会成员。
