Fanman Meng (S'12-M'14) received the Ph.D. degree in signal and information processing from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), Chengdu, China, in 2014. From July 2013 to July 2014, he joined Division of Visual and Interactive Computing of Nanyang Technological University in Singapore as a Research Assistant. He is currently an Associate professor in the School of Electronic Engineering, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Chengdu, Sichuan, China. His research interests include image segmentation and object detection. Dr. Meng has authored or co-authored numerous technical articles in well-known international journals and conferences. He received the "Best student paper honorable mention award" for the 12th Asian Conference on Computer Vision (ACCV 2014) in Singapore and the "Top 10\% paper award" in the IEEE International Conference on Image Processing (ICIP 2014) at Paris, France. He is now a member of IEEE and IEEE CAS society.
